Spelt, Rye & Yeast Free Breads

 

We think everyone should be able to enjoy good fresh bread, so we have a wide range of loaves that are either wheat or yeast free, or both! As well as rye, we are big fans of spelt – an old fashioned grain. Anyone trying to avoid wheat should definitely try some spelt.

  Sunflower Spelt
A great spelt wholemeal loaf - a great alternative for those wishing to avoid more traditional types of wheat and lower in gluten than normal flour.  This loaf is covered in sunflower seeds and boasts a delicious nutty flavour.  Also available as Plain Spelt.

Spelt and Rye
Yeast free and flavourful, a solid wholemeal loaf with excellent keeping qualities.

  Pure Rye
A serious dark loaf, full of flavour.  Also available Polish style “in the round”.  Cover with cream cheese and smoked salmon. This loaf is both wheat and yeast free.

Spelt Sourdough
Our favourite! This yeast free loaf is a substantial loaf with all the goodness and flavour of spelt which has a higher protien count than other brown flours.

The loaf that got the pioneers across America. Long fermented and made using a traditional levain.
